The solar-heated swimming pool is open from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend. The pool is open 10am to 8pm, closed Wednesdays. The pool goes from 3-5 ft deep and has a large sunbathing patio overlooking the pool and woods. In 2016, we added a basketball goal, lounge chairs, and a kiddy corner with two water play tables, toys, and a sun shade. In 2019 we added more patio area, a pergola, and new perimeter fencing. For 2023 we had the pool professionally painted with a 20-year warranty on the work.
We have created a fishing pond on the west side of our property, between the back of the camp store and the old primitive tent sites. The sites have been converted to 11 electric RV and tent sites. The pond still needs some finishing touches around the edges but will be stocked for catch-and-release fishing for the 2022 season.
Added in 2015, there are Disc Golf baskets set up for a round of the game. Bring your own discs (Frizbees) or borrow a set from the camp store. In 2016, we expanded the golf course down to the grassy meadow at the bottom of the campground and doubled the size of the course. Because of the addition of the fishing pond, the disc golf will be rearranged during the 2023 camping season. A few baskets will still be available for use while we make the improvements.
Gaga Ball Court
Added in 2015, this fun, fast-paced game is every person for themselves. It's dodgeball below the waist. Last person standing wins and a new game is just minutes away. Great for all ages, even adults. A dodgeball is usually left inside the court, or stop by the camp store to borrow one. Just show up to learn how to play the game.
In 2021 we expanded the basketball court to be able to add
two 4-square playing areas. New basketball goals were added as well as new lines painted for basketball, pickleball and 4-square. All the equipment is available in the camp store to borrow during your stay.
Added in 2016, we have a Pickleball court. What is Pickleball you ask? Pickleball is a fun racquet sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis, and table tennis. Two, three, or four players use solid paddles to hit a plastic ball, similar to a wiffle ball, over a net. Racquets, balls, and the rules are available in the camp store to borrow.
New in 2019, we have added 2 sets of concrete cornhole boards behind the pavilion. Bring your own bags or borrow a set from the camp store. On holiday weekends we offer a cornhole tournament for teams of 2 with the entry fee given right back out as prize money. New in 2021 we have added 2 more sets of concrete cornhole boards in front of the pavilion.
The doggie park fence has been installed at the entrance of the campground. We have added a bench, picnic table, a doggie tunnel and of course a trash receptacle to clean up after your doggie.
Play fort with slide and rock ladder, monkey bars, rock wall, slide, sandbox, swings, baby swing, tunnel, and tether-ball. New for 2017 is a big, blue curly slide on the play fort PLUS a second playground area was added near the basketball court. Added features in 2019 include a sit-n-spin and balance beam.
Explore by walking, jogging, biking, or golf cart riding on our 38 acre wooded property. More trails through the woods are being added each season. We are also located just 3.5 miles east of the 3,840 acre Potato Creek State Park (entrance fee required) with over 30 miles of hiking and biking trails.
Volleyball - Badminton
Serve, Bump, Set, and Hit! The volleyball court is located next to the basketball court near the entrance of the campground. Volleyballs and badminton rackets and birdies available in the camp store to borrow. On holiday weekends, we blow up the giant volleyball for a fun game.
A newly remodeled bathhouse opened April 15, 2016. Both sides have brand new shower stalls with attached changing rooms, double sinks with hand dryers, laundry facilities, and a dry changing room complete with baby changing station. The women's side also has a makeup table, mirror, and an electrical outlet separate from the sinks. For 2023 we have had the shower shall pans professional painted to freshen up the bathhouse.
The Maple Ridge Campground chicken coop is located in the side yard of the main house at the entrance to the campground. We currently have 10 laying hens. Please feel free to visit the chickens (young children with an adult please) but don't let them out of their fence.
