Maple Ridge Campground officially opens for the season on April 15, 2016. That makes April 16/17 opening weekend and we can't wait. Friday check-in is anytime after 2pm. We will be having our Friday Night Community Bonfire with a new start time of 9pm. So get off work, set up your camper, and come join us for a bonfire with free s'mores.
On Saturday, stop by the camp store for a treat. Also be sure to visit the newly remodeled bathhouse. Jarrod worked long and hard over the winter to get it into tip-top shape. We will have kid's bingo at 1:30pm on Saturday. It's a free activity for the kids and all winners get to pick a prize out of the treasure chest. We will end Saturday with our Wagon Ride at 6pm. Hope you filed your taxes on time. We officially opened Maple Ridge Campground today. The store was still being stocked but we were open for business. I was able to keep stocking the shelves while meeting two new monthly guests and a few seasonal campers who came by middle of the week to pay off their balance.
Jarrod was busy working on the bathhouse update. We added new bathroom vanities to both the men's and women's bathhouse. New primer and paint is next on the list for the bathhouse. We already hung the new shower curtains and added non-slip floor mats outside the shower stalls. Bet you didn't know owning a campground could be as glamerous as picking out and installing non-slip floor mats, huh? We also have plans to rearrange the layout inside the bathhouse to make the 3 changing areas bigger.
Maple Ridge Campground opens Wednesday, April 15, 2015! We have been busy moving our life’s collection into the house on the property. We should finish the move today so we can move onto the “fun” things like turning on the water to the campsites, stocking the store, and cleaning up all the leaves and sticks on the ground.
My mom, who has been a great help this week, asked me yesterday what our plans were for today. I literally had no idea. We are taking this adventure one day at a time. That reminded me of a Pinterest quote I have saved…”You don’t need to have it all figured out to move forward.” That is definitely the current motto of MRC, because we don’t have any of it figured out and we have to keep moving forward. Opening day is 8 days away!
